ABOUT FUTURIUS

Futurius is a multimedia entertainment production company/studio based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 2002 by Daniel Lundie, the studio has made its biggest mark in the visual literature industry. The large Futurius catalogue of characters and concepts is ever-growing and has begun to sprawl out into various media, including an animated series that is in development and multiple print projects as well as the online entertainment material.

Futurius as a studio is spear-headed by Daniel with fellow writer/artist Christopher J. Powers producing the vast majority of projects, and friends and peers joining in for specific projects. A good example of this being the popular Tales From The Plex series of anthology books, which had around 40 people working on each volume from all over the world.

FUT

Fut, the studio mascot character, first made his public debut on the very first Futurius website as a host on the main page. Several web comics followed as Futs’ supporting cast grew and developed.

Fut is a time traveller, sent to our time to chronicle every single second in order to pass on a full account of our era to an unknown group of beings who will take over the space our universe currently resides in after time itself has come to an end.

Joined by his two misfit robotoid sidekicks Sev and Thirt (“The Timebots”), Fut hangs out in the Futuri-Plex, a massive teleporting complex built upon Fold-Technology, an amazing invention created in 2113 AD that allows multiple living environments to exist in the same space at the same time.

Other popular creations from Futurius in recent years have included Robin Node [a futuristic remaining of the Robin Hood legend complete with energy bows and high-tech forest hideouts], Mecha.Jon [starring an alien-fighting robot soldier with the brain of a super-smart lab rat and a Scottish accent], Psychic Teenagers [the X-Men meets Jackass TV by way of American Pie… with psychic powers!] and Celebrity Decay [a series of pop culture spoofs with an adult sense of humour].
